I don't have any gym equipment or anything like that. All I have is a set of 2 lb walking weights. lol. But I have 5 kids and I have found that I was kidding myself by thinking that I could get to the gym to workout on a regular basis. My husband works 60 + hours a week and I don't really have anyone else to watch the kids while I workout. There is a daycare at the gym (I go to the YMCA) but they only take kids older than 6 months and my youngest is only 2 months. So I only get to go there about once a week.

So I need ideas for an at-home workout that I can do without any type of equipment!

Yep, look up body weight exercises. YouTube has tons of videos. I have the app "You Are Your Own Gym" and I love it. I have always worked out at home. I started with videos and have since the invested in a power rack, bench and weights. Even buying some heavier dumbbells would be great. You can do a lot with them and they are not a huge investment. A kettlebell would be a good investment as well.

Walk at Home dvds for cardio ..........all you need is a small space. This is low impact so you can do this while the kids are napping (you won't shake the house). Push the kid(s) in a stroller when weather cooperates ..... too hot, too rainy .... no excuses with a "walking" DVD

This site has video clips & reviews .......

    Here's a youtube workout ......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjduJjO1pLg&feature=related

For strength training - lots of body weight stuff you can do - planks, push ups, squats .......if you want a DVD that lays it all out & explains everything ..... I like this ine

I have a gym membership but never get there. I just started doing Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds videos. They are easy to do daily and aren't burdensome. Can use hand weights with some of the workouts too. There are a lot of them on YouTube. Just type in Leslie Sansone.

Try the Nike Training Club app. I'm not sure if it's available for Droid OS but definitely available with iOS.
  • you can google a bunch of workouts for certain areas you wanna work on like arms, legs, ect. I download torrents of work out videos. I've got a bunch by jillian michaels, i have insanity and brazilian butt lift. Plus LOTS of zumba videos :D there good cause then you can just play them through your tv/dvd/or xbox on USB or through your computer :) very handy.

A kettlebell would be a worthwhile investment. I burn a massive amount of calories in only 1/2 hour.

I agree with kettlebell and jillian michaels. Im starting this week a ripped in 30 routine with 20mins kettlebell 4 days a week. I always feel great after a kbell workout. Youtube is great for videos, fitness blender is good too and another favourite. I got a cheap fold away exercise bike and I try to use that and push to go for 1hr quick pedaling once or twice a week

I read amazing reviews on the SHaun T T25 - 25min workouts, 5 days a week ( i think) and you supposedly get ripped in 10 weeks.
    Not started it yet though
