Women, Stop Hating Yourselves

I think every woman who struggles with her body image needs to read this blog post: http://fitmamatraining.com/how-i-let-go-of-self-hate-and-discovered-my-beautiful/ And then "like" Fit Mama Training on Facebook.
This blog is the most inspiring and life-changing thing I've ever come across.
Here's a couple excerpts:
"I didn’t realize at the time, but the very act of exercising for the sake of it (not as a punishment or attempt to bully my body into being something different) gave me my power back. It forced me to pay attention to how I was feeling and honor it. It made me proud when I accomplished something new. It took all the old tracks about what I couldn’t do and threw them all out the window. Those tracks stopped first."
"So the steps… though this path for you will likely not be a simple numerical list but rather a journey around and through…
1.Decide you don’t want to hate yourself anymore
2.Let go of negative self-talk. It doesn’t serve you or anyone around you.
3.Allow any aesthetic goals you may have be secondary to the bigger goal, of caring for yourself. Which includes being kind in your words and actions.
4.Stop engaging in bashing other women and their bodies. This is harmful to you as it is harmful to anyone who hears it, even if it’s not them you speak of… even if they are agreeing.
5.Spend time getting comfortable in your skin. Reconnect with the body you have now. Make peace so you can move forward.
6.Do your best everyday, knowing that each day your best will be different. Be patient with yourself as you go."

I agree, this is a GREAT blog post!!! I used a lot of those tips myself along on my own journey, which took me through a 250-lb weight loss. :-)

GREAT post. I am astounded how many women are never happy with themselves. Back in my 20s and 30s, I had a flattish belly, long beautiful legs, was pretty, but all I could see in the mirror was "36 B cup boobs, way too small!!" I did deveop a full C cup by my later 30s, and so far managed to retain most of it while losing 21 lbs., but why I was so critical then...yeah, I know why, because we all thought that we had to look like Playboy nude models.0
