I have been using MFP since January and just the other day I hit my halfway point. I am so thrilled that this has been working. I used to always think that I could never lose weight. I have PCOS, which makes it harder, and I had just resigned myself to being fat. Nothing crazy happened that made me hit my breaking point; I wasn't depressed or angry at myself, I just decided over the winter that I was going to try and see what happened. And I'm not going to lie, I was totally shocked that it worked at all! But here I am! I've still got quite a ways to go but this is my second big milestone after being under 200 for the first time in years. And it couldn't have come at a better time. I was never really the type of person who worried about my weight, it didn't make me feel self-conscious or uncomfortable or anything like that. But I just started teaching for the first time (college professor) and I find that it has totally boosted my confidence levels to know that I can go in there and teach them, while looking pretty darn good! ;) lol

So, pictures! Let's hope that this works; no guarantees.

This first one was taken a year ago (the end of Sept. 2009). I have no idea how much I weighed, because I hadn't weighed myself in years. However, when I started in January I was 227, so I think it is fair to say that I was somewhere around there. It wasn't until I saw this picture the other day that I realized how bad I had let things get. I was going through pics on my facebook to find a good faceshot for the virtual model thing (which never did work!) and instead of taking me to page 5, it took me to page 25, and I saw this. I was totally appalled- I didn't have a face! So here it is:

My husband and I with Rudolf Martin.

This next one was taken back in May, on the trip that my husband and I took for our second wedding anniversary.

These is the most recent picture I have, from the second to last weekend in August. I've actually lost a few more pounds since then but probably won't have any new pictures until the end of this month.

This one is with Daniel Roebuck.

(And yes, most of my pics are with celebrities... perks of living in SoCal!)

EDIT: ok, so when I put in the link for the pics to make them images, it tells me that the pic has been moved or deleted, which is obviously hasn't, because if you follow the link they are there, sooooo ... yeah. Sorry about that. Apparently you'll have to click if you want to see lol.
