Hello everyone!
Everyone knows that the best & healthiest way to lose weight is by eating clean, counting calories, and exercising... But, I was wondering, is anyone taking any diet supplements (pills, shakes), and prescribed weight loss pills, or any natural herbs and vitamins that claim to help support weight loss? If so, could you please tell me what you take and why? In particular, has anyone heard of Skinny Fiber and know anything about it? Thanks so much for your input!

Been there done that, been there done that, been there done that, been there done that ..... over & over.
To STOP this cycle .... I decided to actually "learn" something about the food I eat. This is where MFP comes in .... yes, it's boring ..... no, it's not earth shattering .... but to keep weight off I needed a lifestyle change.
A lifestyle change means establishing "new" good habits for a lifetime, and breaking "bad" habits for a lifetime. There is no magic bullet ....but I'm sure someone will PM you shortly to try to sell you one.0 -

I love it that everyone knows but despite that, will continue to try to do the opposite.
Does. Not. Compute.
Also, bolded... *shakes head sadly*0 -
I took OxyElitePro and it gave me great energy and that helped me want to exercise and I lost weight faster.
Until I stopped taking them.
Did Herbalife shakes for about 2 months and loss 30 lbs without exercise.
Until I stopped taking them.
Took Hydroxycut and had the same results as the OEP.
Until I stopped taking them.
Did a medically supervised weight loss program that involved B12 shots, phentermine and various other vitamins and lost about 20lbs in 4 weeks.
Until I stopped taking them.
Also developed an eating disorder at some point and only consumed about 400 cals a day or ate whatever I wanted and threw up. Lost a bunch doing that too.
Until I stopped damaging my body.
Over the last 9 years I have gained and lost over 150lbs. The end result was me actually gaining and sustaining a whopping 100lb.
I am slowly taking it off by eating right and moving more. It's not easy and sometimes I say "oh f**k this, gimme cheeseburgers!" and I gain a few pounds. Then I lose a few pounds. The only thing that I have learned that works for me long term is healthy diet and exercise. Weight loss aids are just that: aids. The problem is that they force a change that most people dont fully comprehend or wouldnt have imposed without the aid. When you lose your aid and resume your life, you usually gain the weight right back. Nothing learned.0 -
More protein and healthy fat will help you feel fuller longer. I don't use any gimmicks to stay healthy. I eat according to IIFYM with a healthy macro breakdown, I use protein powder to help meet my protein goals (but it is treated as just another food), and I exercise. Meeting your macros with a healthy deficit is all that is needed for weight loss.0

I have not heard of skinny fiber, but I do believe that eating a high fiber diet helped with my weight loss. Fiber helps keep me full longer. And insoluable fiber is truly zero calorie food.0

Hi guys , I heard about new diet which really works , eat healthy with no sugar,no oil and totally in natural way it known as Paleolithic diet (Stone Age diet) or Paleo diet as old people use to have all foods in natural ways that is the reason why they live healthy and long life.
Nothing gonna help out until you will take step a head and become really serious . Because your health is wealth

This sounds exactly like me!!!!! I am learning to teach myself how to eat & have a healthier lifestyle, but it gets frustrating when the pounds drop S-L-O-W-L-Y! I have contemplated surgery (ie - lapband) as I have witnessed friends have amazing results & have kept it off, but I don't want that stigma that "I had to have surgery to do it", follow me around... That was why I asked the question about the aids... Maybe if they worked in the same way as the surgeries (fuller faster), then it would help hurry the process along. However, every post on here is dead on the money! I kind of knew it (lol), but I guess was hoping there was a quicker way. I, too, have gone from being 220 to 140, to back up again... I have accomplished major weight losses 3x in my life - 1st time at 18 (I had always been an overweight child & teenager), 2nd - after my first child at 23 & 3rd time after my second child at 26... I did the 1st two times by weight watchers, and it worked great! Last time was by weight watchers, then adkins (b/c my weight loss became an obsession, and I couldn't get 'skinny enough'), and you guessed it - after adkins, I piled the weight back on and then some. Kind of depressing... Now, at 36, it is SO HARD to lose weight. I tried weight watchers at the beginning of the year, ate my points worth, every day, and barely lost anything... Whew - guess this is just going to be a long, hard journey! Thanks for sharing!0
