Where do you feel "hunger"?

Where in your body do you usually feel "hunger"? Stomach? Chest? Throat? Even arms/legs when you're really hungry? Does it vary at different times or depend upon how hard you're training???

Personally, it starts in my stomach. But I've heard this called false or pre-hunger by some people. If I let it go another half hour, it rises up into my chest. if I'm really hungry and glucose-deprived, I will even feel it in my arms/legs, especially if I'm training hard and the metabolism is revving.

I've even heard some people never feel hunger.

I feel it in my wings, and then it spreads to my tail. And then I go outside and start digging for cicadas, while all the neighbors watch...

    Hahahaha...this made my day!

I only feel hunger in my stomach. Just the severity of the pain in my stomach increases as time goes on.

Often I don't feel "hungry" first. I often know I am hungry because I get ddizzy, a headache, my eyes don't focus like they should, and I lose some cognative ability!

My stomach hunger pains/growling is always LAST. annd not even all the time. Mostly I know I need food becuase of my Hypoglycemic Symptoms (listed above)

I generally get a headache 1st, followed by a hollow feeling just under my ribs. I tend to eat before it gets any worse because when I get really hungry I get cranky and snappy!

I just feel it in my stomach I guess...didn't realize it could be anywhere else.
  • I read something about "toxic hunger" once. Whenever I feel hungry I usually feel it in my stomach, but like yourself if I go more than 30 minutes after the first hunger pang, then I feel it all over and get weak.

It starts in the belly, crawls up into the chest and then makes a bed on the spine. The discomfort also increases along that trek. It starts off as a light emptiness sans stomach growling but evolves into an unrelenting, gnawing pain that can't be ignored.

My light emptiness starts at maybe 5 hours after food. The crazy stomach demon feeling is probably 18 hours after food. After 21 hours, I am just crazily pissed in addition.

same for me. I get a headache, and I can't multi task anymore. I get irritable and then shaky. Rarely does my stomach growl or ache.

That's what I read, too. It's a little weird, but I think has some merit biochemically speaking.

Depends... If I'm hungry like the wolf.. in touch with ground, I'm on the hunt I'm after you, smell like I sound, I'm lost in a crowd. And I'm hungry like the wolf. Straddle the line in discord and rhyme, I'm on the hunt I'm after you. Mouth is alive with juices like wine

    Otherwise, my stomach.

I don't even know anymore. I start feeling woosy then it's like alarms are going off. Seriously I start hearing odd things. It might be like hallucinations or something like that I hear a whooshing sound sometimes and my head feels a bit buzzy. It's not entirely unpleasant and sometimes its goes from being painful to being in a drug like state. Not quite sure how to explain it. But, someone else has mentioned headaches and that happens to me sometimes too. Mostly I eat on schedule now, because I can't eat all my calories in two meals and I can't just go and cook myself dinner in the middle of the night.
