Rapid weight gain.

Hello, friends.

Definitely stressed today as I just got home from a 4 day conference to find that I have gained more than 5 pounds some how. Here is what I am thinking is going on and you lovely people can tell me if you think it makes sense.

I have been lifting more weights the past 3 weeks. I also ate really badly in this conference. I didn't drink much water during the conference or get much sleep. And I am about to start my period this week. Could all of these things add up to gaining that much weight so quickly???

    Also, I can totally see my weight in my belly. Looks like I am pretty bloated. Blehhh
  • Same thing with me. I just started yesterday to eat "normally" again. Dont rush it, The weight will come off once you lower your calorie intake.

    Was yours fast? I am talking a week or 2 is how quick this weight came on

    absoluetly all of those things can result in weight gain. I'm always several pounds heavier leading up to and during my period. Additionally, not drinking enough water while also eating higher sodium foods can make you hold on to water weight, making it probably a superficial weight gain

    I don't know if you had to fly for the conference but flying makes me swell! I can easily gain 5 lbs of water weight. I joke that it's bad for my belly but my cleavage looks better:)
    I just drink a lot of detox tea, lots of water, and things are better in a week!
    Lifting will make the muscles hold onto water too. but you wouldn't see that in the midsection...

    I did that over a four day weekend. In fact, I can easily gain more than that. I'm truly awesome at gaining weight in the crazy short period of time. It'll come off, just go back to your normal eating plan, drink lots of water, but don't expect it to come off as fast as it went on. You'll be fine.
