I read something recently extolling the benefits of cinnamon so this morning I sprinkled about 1 tsp on top of the grounds in my coffee maker. The coffee is delicious, not too sweet, but very aromatic with a great after taste. Just thought I'd share with everyone

Does cinnamon on french toast count?
Can you share the resource about cinnamon? I would be interested in reading it.0 -
You just gave me a serious craving for French Toast! I can't seem to find the article I read, but I found something pretty similar here:

Thanks for sharing. I'm not a big coffee person because if I have it I add sugar and creamer - not to mention I do not like hot drinks in the summer, but I will be trying when the cold weather starts. I will also let my fiancé in on your idea, he is giving up what he calls his "froo froo" creamer because when he added up the calories alone from the creamer he is consuming about 700 calories from a beverage that starts out with zero calories.
Great idea.
Take care:

Mmm cinnamon coffee is one of my favourites! I have a Keurig coffee maker, and Timothy's makes Cinnamon Pastry K-cups for it. I buy a ton of it when it's on sale. It's almost as good as having a cinnamon pastry...0

Most cinnamon in the United States is from the cassia plant and should not be taken as a dietary supplement. Normal culinary amounts are fine but too much can cause problems. Read, for example:

I did NOT know this and have been adding cinnamon to my coffee for a year now. THANK YOU for the heads up. I'll monitor my intake.:flowerforyou:0
