hey everyone I have recently been ill lost 12 pound in a week as couldn't keep food down at all or fluid any way went to doctors and I had lost 12 pound however I was aiming at losin about 5 pound a week but this week I lost 12 I feel so delicate but enjoying the weight loss , what excercises do you find best for tummy weight ? also what do people think to the weight loss shakes ? also looking for new friends to help me please please add me much love jenni xxx

LosIng 5 pounds a week is not a safe thing to do. I'd encourage you to set your goal at no more than 2 pounds a week-- 1 would be even better.
There is no way to spot reduce. Strength training can help you look slimmer in some areas, but as far as actual fat loss, that comes from a calorie deficit. Make sure you get plenty of protein so you don't lose as much muscle.
Shakes are not necessary. It's entirely possible to get the nutrition you need with regular food, but having a shake here and there as a supplement won't do any harm.0 -
Wow! 12 pounds is a lot! To be honest, I'd be very surprised if you don't regain it pretty quickly when you are well. I hope not though. Good luck with your weight loss journey. Be patient because it will be slow, but you can do it!0

Honestly, unless you have well over 100 lbs to lose you're not going to be able to lose 5 lbs a week and be even in the neighbourhood of healthy. You'd be better off setting your goal to lose 1 or possibly 2 lbs a week instead and eating back your exercise calories.
As someone above said you can't spot reduce. Your body will let go of the fat from wherever it wants.0 -
