Looking for tips and suggestions
I am finding it hard to stick to healthy eating at the weekend, my family have a very good social life and are always out at the weekends, eating and drinking or if we are in the house I have no energy to go to the shops or cook.
I know a lot off you are going to say its easy but I am finding it hard.
Please no sarcastic comments or nasty comments,
I would appreciate helpful hint, tips and comments
Thank you

My advice is to stop beating yourself up over this. Do the best you can - maybe carry some fruit with you to snack on prior to those restaurant meals so you are not so tempted by the high calorie bombs on the menu. Sip water with your meals and enjoy the company.
This isn't an all or nothing project. Little steps will get you to your goal - just a little more slowly.0 -
I'd agree - you can't beat yourself up about it, and if you're out socialising you want to enjoy yourself instead of being a downer about things. Maybe:
- try to leave a calorie deficit the day before so it isn't as big a deal?
- order what you like but restrict portion size/split with someone else?
I'd definitely say to avoid alcohol as much as possible - eat your calories, don't drink them!0 -
Share or ask for a to go box and portion out your food. you get two meals out of one and you won't feel horrible when you leave the table. Try to stay away from drinks within a lot of sugar. But most of all enjoy yourself like everyone else said sometimes you can't do what you know is best0

Going out to eat is probably my one pleasure in life that I always try to leave time and money for. I'm lucky to have a vacuum cleaner as a boyfriend who will gladly eat anything I don't finish. If I'm out to eat with friends or by myself, I choose what appears to be a healthy option. Last night I chose a side salad instead of pasta to go with my grilled chicken main course. I was so proud of myself!
However, things that look healthy may not be. If you're going to a chain restaurant, do your research before you go out and look up the calorie counts. Also, make sure the sodium isn't too crazy! Drink a lot of water.0
