Planning to take my family to Gulf Shores next month. Any suggestions on a beach house rental? Definitely want beach front. Also, any suggestions on fun things to do while we are there?

I've visited Gulf Shores quite a bit. I rarely stay there cause I have family that lives nearby so I stay with them. But I have used Bender Realty in the past. They rent condos and Beach houses. Process vary for what you want and location but you can get a place on the beach 2bd 2 ba for about 120 or so a day. They have a user friendly website. It's been a while since I stayed down there. But for a similar prove as to what you'd pay for a hotel, the privacy and room is worth it. Good luck and have fun.

Go to LuLu's (Lucy Buffett) Jimmy Buffett's sister. There's are things for kids to do , a gift shop and awesome food. Look it up online.

Hope you have lots of fun!!!!

I lived in Pensacola, so I've never actually stayed in Gulf Shores, but I have visited several times.
There's the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and Waterville, USA, (water park) in Gulf Shores, along with the typical gift shops.
Foley is about a 20 minute drive away and has a Lambert's Cafe. Definitely an experience if you've never been.
There's also an outlet mall in Foley that you can wander around for a couple of hours.
Have fun and enjoy your time relaxing on the beach!
