Consult your physician/dietitian for appropriate calorie goals and good sources to help you reach those goals given your medical restrictions. MFP has very generic guidelines for calorie intake and macronutrients which, while appropriate for the general population, are not always helpful and are even counterproductive for those with certain medical conditions. After establishing personal guidelines with a medical professional's assistance then tailor MFP to be able to track your personal nutrition and calorie goals.
MFP sets 1200 as a minimum calorie goal for net calories for every member because for most people consuming less than that can lead to medical issues as well as increase loss of lean body mass while trying to lose weight. Chances are 1200 calories is low for you as well. Calorie dense foods such as nut butters, avocados, nuts, dairy products like cheese and whole milk can all be small volume but high in calories and help to reach your daily calorie goal.0 -

That is unfortunate that you can't eat very many foods I certainly know how you feel because just a few weeks ago I was still on a bland diet from having severe acid reflux, the foods the Doctor said I could eat were very limited but with time and patience I've gotten better and it's more flexible now, I feel better and my BP went down from 140/89 to 115/69 so be good and do what the Doctors say and hopefully you'll get better. I don't want to really recommend anything for you to eat, what she said above is very true you should consult your physician because none of us know what your Doctor does about you and the best we can do is guess. Good luck and I hope you get better.0 -
