Stuck at a plateau..

Overall I went from 235 to 190, and my goal is 170/175. Unfortunately, I have been stuck for months. My calorie count of 1800 a day and everything I ingest is carefully calculated, but weight loss to no avail. My stomach area seems to be the issue.

Are you exercising at all? If your muscle mass has diminished, along with a slightly slowed metabolism, you might be maintaining at that calorie count. Why don't you figure out your TDEE (Total Daily Calorie Expenditure) and BMI ( Body Mass Index) and then reduce your calories 15 to 20 per cent below that? You recalculate every 5 pounds down. If you add or already do some weight training that will increase your calorie burn. The goal is to find a calorie level that just allows you to lose without stressing your body too much, and you will eventually reach your goal.

    Thanks for the info,

I have started running again twice a week (treadmill), and just have to get it up to four days a week.

My BMI is on the high side, so is my TDEE..it is 2400..my
caloric intake with myfitnesspal is 1850..go figure.
