im a newbie...

i am struggling and need some support. i weigh 172 lbs and would like to weigh 135 before the new year. i workout and is usually active but i have problems with what i eat. can someone please help a sister out?

    I usually plan my meals and check the calories, carbs, fat, etc before I eat....that way I know I won't be over my goal...that helps alot and even when I want to have something that is not so healthy..ahem, Mcdonald's...I'll get a chicken sandwich w/out the fries, no drink and cut it in half...( the value meal is like 1100-1200 calories at least and 1/2 sandwich is 220 calories...)
    what specifically do u need help with?

    I'd say its best to ease into everything. To not drastically change your diet/exercise routine because typically you won't follow it. That's what mini goals are for.. start small, reward yourself and before you know if you'll be knee deep in a healthy lifestyle!
