We're STUCK!

Alright I started on my new lifestyle on the 1st of July. I have been measuring and weighing most all of my food. I slacked these past two days because I was busy and quite bluntly..........FRUSTRATED! I started out at 199!!! That is what got me going, I did NOT want to hit the 00. I feel I need to loose almost 60 pounds. The first 2 weeks I saw drastic lose, I knew this would happen, I also knew I would eventually hit a bump. Well I hit the bump and so I upped my exercise thinking that would give me the momentum to get over it. It has been over 2 weeks now that I have not been able to loose weight at all! I fluctuate during the day, and some days I gain and it carries over several days, but I can't loose! I am stuck at 191+ - one or two
I am doing a weightloss program by Jullian Michaels made for my incline trainer on M W F on T TH SU I do a body makeover program by Elizabeth Hasslebeck made for my incline trainer. They are each about 25-30 mins long. I sweat and my heart rate goes up, it is getting easier for me now since I have been at it for almost a month, so that is good news, I am getting fitter! When I hit the bump, I added a 5k training program everyday. I am soo proud that I can actually run! I feel good but the fat and weight are not coming off!
I have my fitness pal set to 1550 calories per day and I come in under that most days. I was at first inputting what my treadmill said that I burned and I would try to eat that back. Now I have a FitBit and it keeps track of my daily movement. It has a goal set for me to burn 2154 calories or something like that and it talks to MFP and after my workouts it doesn't really give back any calories to eat. I don't know if it understands the incline! It doesn't say I am real active for those minuets, it does count the steps but I am going at a slow pace. It does show I am active for my runs. I get very close to the 2154 calorie burn per day, sometimes a little less sometimes over.
My husband is in the same boat as me. He needs to loose about 30 pounds and he is doing mostly the same as me, his workouts are a harder level then mine because he is in better shape. But he is not loosing anything! I don't think he is eating enough! He has his calories set to 1250!!!! I told him he needs to eat more! He does eat back his exercise calories though thank goodness!
Any thoughts on how we can loose fat?

Some tips that have worked for me when I get stuck or plateau: 1. Write down EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. Even if it's a piece of gum or hard candy. 2. I try not to eat the calories I earn by working out. This should help you lose more weight. 3. Change up your workouts. If you are doing the same thing over and over, your body will get used to it. Good luck! You can do it!!!0

Hi.. Platues are the worst so, stArting with calories for intake, please calculate tdee-20 or 30% and keep that as your goal.also, set macros accordingly and stick to it(i never able to ) . To measure calories burnt during exercise, hrm is the best.. Fitbit is more of a pedometer, so it will just go mostly based on the number of steps. Helps me be active. You can set it also to loose as many pounds per week as set in mfp. Based on your activity level, it also suggests how many calories you can eat.
Hope this helps
Eta: i do not eat back calories burnt extra in fitbit, but i do eat back my exercise calories( i use hrm)0 -
My workouts are set by the personal trainers and they are different every time. They have progressively increased in difficulty and duration. We wear a HR monitor during workouts and it gives a more accurate burn rate.
I at least do log everything that goes in my mouth. The last few days were the only real exception cause I am hitting that frustrating wall!0 -
Okay after doing some reading, I figure we just aren't eating enough.
That said, I am not hungry! Should I eat more when I am not hungry?
I know my hubby NEEDS to eat more but I was only about 300 cals off, is that THAT big of a deal?0
