Another "newbie" here! My name is Jill (aka Wholigan) . I'm 31, I have been married for almost 12 years and have 2 beautiful children. My weight problems really began in childhood, but became much worse after marriage and moving to a new city 5 hours away from my entire family. Depression set in and working in the food industry did not help. At my heaviest I weighed in at 250. I have managed to drop down to 225 on my own by swimming but I lost confidence and faith in myself somewhere along the way. This site has really helped me see where my calories are coming from and where they are going. My main problem is to much in, not enough out. However, this week I have managed to stay under 2000 calories a day, everyday. I went slightly over goal, but just staying under 2000 is huge for me!

I believe you find the encouragement that you need on here. I have a lot to lose also and just recently started to exercise after years of inactivity. At first I just wanted to make it a 100 feet and then to walk everyday and then I added distance. The food tracker is a very nice thing. Good luck and the advice on here is very helpful. Each of us has to find out what works best.0
