Personally I'd start out moderately active and give it a few weeks...if you're not losing at least you have room to adjust it down. Remember that if you exercise, you're not supposed to include that in your activity level...it's logged separately with MFP.

to be safe, i think you can set it to lightly active and if you feel you have done a lot of running around on a particular day, eat slightly more than that? i adjust my days based on activity level, but mostly try to eat atleast 1500 calories on my sedentary days..
    good luck to you :)

^^This sounds better..about starting out with moderate activity..but i am not quite sure on logging exercise seperately while using TDEE..I thought TDEE includes the exercise part..

im in week 3 and its been set at moderate, ive lost 10 pounds :)
  • I set mine at sedentary cause my job is basically an office job, but then I realized I've been hitting 1500-1600 everyday and still lost five pounds in a month so switched it to lightly active. Sure, my job is basically a desk job (psych nurse), but I have to walk EVERYWHERE, walk my crazy 60lb dogs, clean, do yard work, and I don't count that stuff as exercise... I think they should change the descriptions for activity levels!
