When is the best time to have a protein shake, before and after exercise ?

    I don't think there's a "best" time.

    I personally drink mine before, but that's because I go walking at like 5:30am and I use it for breakfast too.

    I have two protein shakes a day in-between meals, but from what I've heard it best for after exercise as the protein helps to repair muscle.

    i prefer after.
    depends on how much liquid you like sloshing around inside you whilst exercising.

    I drink one about 40 minutes or so before lifting weights, and then have a BCAA "shake" after working out. I always get ravenously hungry after lifting so having the protein before helps a ton.

    I prefer after my workout but I usually get a 2nd one in sometime in the day or for my last snack at night.
