Friendly Fast Foods (Canada)

Hi! I'm looking for some input from those who have done the research and care to share their findings on calorie friendly fast foods. I very rarely eat outside of my home, something like every 6 months or so, but am about to go on my first vacation in seven years and don't know what my cooking options will be like while away. I would like to make a little list of meals I can buy in typical "fast food" joints for about 400cal or under so that I can make the best choices relatively quickly (rather than making my family wait while I try to google nutritional info). If it makes a difference I'll be in Nova Scotia. Thanks in advance! Love & light to you all!

Any Fast Food Place offers options under 400 calories. Most salads anywhere are under 400, if your going to a place along the lines of burger king/mcdonalds. Most places such as Chili's/Applebees have a weight watchers menu as well. But For Example this is the list of things under 400 at Mcdonalds.
McDonalds
Hamburger
Cheeseburger
Grilled Onion Cheddar Burger
McDouble
Premium Grilled Chicken Sandwich
McChicken
Filet-O-Fish
Sweet Chili Chicken McWrap
6 Piece Chicken McNuggets
Any Salad other then the Crispy Chicken Southwest Salad
A Small Fries is 230 Calories so you probably wouldn't be able to fit those into your meal.0 -
I often go to Extreme Pita. They have a few small pita offerings that are under 400 cals according to their menu boards. Not sure if they're in Nova Scotia, though.
Swiss Chalet isn't exactly fast food, but a quarter chicken dinner doesn't do too much damage, depending on the sides you choose.
Subway is an option for a 6" if you're careful with cheese and sauces.
Though if it's your first vacation in seven years, I'd spend more time enjoying your vacation than stressing about what and where to eat, but that's just me.0 -
Wendy's large Chili 270 cals0

Your best bet will be a Freshii, if there are any franchises there. Tons of choices under 400 cals. Subway will do in a pinch as well - watch the cheese and dressings.
However, you're on vacation - go and enjoy!
So many tasty Canadian treats - timbits and a double-double, poutine (!), just for starters.0 -
I love the salads at Wendy's.0
