We all know that eating more generally promotes more weight loss with exercise because eating too little leads your body into starvation mode...
SO CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THIS WITCHCRAFt???

It says nothing. It's a photo of some girls :smokin:0 -
They can afford personal chefs and trainers (as well as nannies and housekeepers.) Their job is to be thin/fit and looking good so they spend hours a day doing it.0

I don't think anyone ever really has said that eating less wont make you/keep you thin. Of course, it does. Starvation mode is bantered around on here a lot and is misunderstood. Under eating may cause metabolic slowdown, but people will still lose weight eatng at a extreme deficit. It just isn't the healthiest or most sustainable approach, so why do it.0

Looks like she eats about 800 calories. Interesting. BTW, starvation mode is a myth.0

If that top photo is supposed to represent her daily maintenance intake, it's under 1,000 calories (can't see what's in the envelope...protein powder?). I'm pretty sure that's what starvation mode is - your body adjusting to maintain its current weight on very few calories.0

It is a picture of a K-pop group, Kara I think who are beautiful toned yet tiny girls
Probably a US size 2.
The picture shows what I think OP thinks is their daily diet, which is a lunchbox filled to the brim with salad, a cups of fruit, some cherry tomatoes, cucumber, diced leafy veg, a single piece of toast and 3eggs.
I have read many articles on Kpop diets and training schools, this would be their breakfast+lunch and not include a protein rich evening meal they also have.
Yet I would still be interested to know how they do hours and hours of dance practise a day on so few cals?

According to Kpop news, girl generation did an interview and said that they only eats 800 calories a day so that picture above is right on as to what many korean women eat. Celebrities at least. However, Korea has the lowest obesity rate of any country so most likely they all eat that way. You can't get a job in korea if you're fat. Seriously, you can't as you are required to put a photo of yourself on your resume.

Ty for the great detail.0 -

thats your answer... they do hours of exercise all day0 -
You will still lose weight if you continually eat at a very low deficit for a while, of course you will.
The difference here is that these women will probably have to eat like that and exercise like that for the rest of their lives to avoid any weight gain.0 -

Unless there are other pictures, I believe out definition of toned is vastly different. None of those pictures does she looked toned. Skinny yes... toned no.
OP, keep in mind many of these celebs spend close to 100K on personal trainers and etc..0 -
Drugs.0

They have every resource available, including drugs and their only worry is people chasing them around with a camera and telling them how awesome they are.0
-

Yup Lean gains (Google it people) shows you how you can eat for 8 hours and fast for 16 hours and still lose weight and keep muscle etc.. Very good approach to use if you can do it. Will take 1-2 weeks for you to settle into it.0 -
Also, they're about 2 ft tall. And young. So high metabolism plus lots of exercise. Yes, I did just contradict myself.
But let's face it, if you don't eat, you won't stay your size for long. Ask anyone who has had chemotherapy.
Starvation mode may help you live through lean times but people die in Africa all the time from a lack of food.0 -
It would seem a lot goes on behind closed doors that the public does not know about and so it is not witchcraft. It is not having all of the information.0
-
They have more incentive to eat little and stay thin0
-
because they have a cook, a babysitter, a personal trainer and whatever...oh and go to plastic surgeon.0
-
Keep in mind part of their job is to have trainers and nutrition experts guide their lives so they can maintain whatever image is making their money.0
-
If you don't eat/very few calories, it makes you thin, simple.
You can exercise too, and low calorie energy drinks help.
This is not so healthy, some people however, are naturally smaller, including Asians.
It depends if you want health or SKINNY?

I feel sorry for her. I have friends with bodies like that, and they eat ALL the things.0

You can stay lean at 800 calories forever. What makes you gain weight if you're used to eating so few calories is if you binge or eat more than that once a week or something. It doesn't mean it's healthy though. But the big difference is that they don't have anything to lose in the first place, so as long as they don't eat much, they won't gain weight.0
-
PRESSURE. This is a silly comparison, but when I had 2 weeks until the Les Mills Combat infomercial, my diet was extremely tight. I went to bed hungry. I woke up in the middle of the night hungry. I would be at the mall or something, starving, but I had that pressure/motivation to not buy anything but the 100 calorie almond packet in my purse because I KNEW I had to look my best and be on camera. Those two weeks were eye opening as I'm sure celebrities have to live like that CONSTANTLY. Not just for a couple of weeks. It's very controlled, and exhausting at times.0

I Disagree...

This is very interesting to me. But here's my question...if it takes 3500 to gain a pound of fat then how can a person gain weight if they eat 1200 calories after losing weight at 800 calories? This part confuses me.
Sorry to hijack OP!0
