HI, I have actually been watching my calories and exercising 7 days a week for 1 hour a day for the past 12 weeks. I just joined myfitnesspal yesterday, the plans setup looks like it would be a lot easier to use then dragging out my old notebook and jotting everything down like I have been doing. So far to this date I have lost 32 pounds. I went from 236 to 204. I still have 35 more pounds to go, I know we can all do it this site looks like it is going to be a great help in reaching my goals... Mom of 2 under 6 - age 33

  • I really like that you are stating a realistic goal for your weight loss. Welld done and I am sure that you will attain your goal. I took the insurance weight guidelines for someone my height and age then added 10% for my end weight of 210 lb which is 15 lbs more then when I was twenty. Given the fact that I am now fifty-one and coming off an Achilles tendon injury I thought that to be realistic. Now if exercising could only grow my hair back........!

Congratulations!!! I really understand your excitement. I started out at 237 and went to 195. I got pregnant and then spent 3 weeks in bed trying not to miscarry. Miscarried anyway and then had some recovery time. With poor exercise and all the comfort food eating due to stress, I'm up to 213...but this website is helping me regain my focus once again and returning to exercise really helps my emotional well-being everyday (good endorphines!). "Writing" it all down really helps the dieting to not be so overwhelming. You can see very easily if you are on track for the day and you can adjust your calories/exercise accordingly.. It's very empowering. I'm telling all my friends and doctors about this website. Keep up the good work!!!

Hello again to everyone, I am very excited about this web site, I think that myfitnesspal is going to be life changing for many people, by keeping track of your calories and calories burned it makes it so great and easy to do. You can see what areas you need to work on. Am I going to go over my calories? Maybe I shouldnt eat that item? Should I walk 3 miles or bicycle 2 miles? I have also read that people that are active and exercise daily are less depressed. Maybe or maybe not but I can definitly say that my whole entire attitude has changed about what people think of me. I use to only walk at night when it was dark cause I was too embarressed with my weight for people to see me , but know I say who the heck cares, I am doing this for me and I am worth it, if someone doesnt have anything better to do then to look out their windows and stare then they should get their butts off of the couch and walk with me. I have found that a good postitve attitude is a MUST when it comes to losing weight..... Good luck to all, with myftnesspal I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! You must believe to achieve.... :) Signing off to go grab an apple...
