Extremely low sugars for targets?

Hi everybody! I just started tracking here, and noticed the running totals at the bottom. Apparently I'm already over for total grams of sugar!

The main culprits are the milk that I have with my cereal and lunch, and the fresh peach I had as a snack.

Isn't that awfully low for a limit? I haven't even eaten any garbage!

Yeah, the limit there is for "added" sugars as deemed by the FDA, and things like fruit and milk don't count because they occur naturally. MFP counts them the same, though. Unless you've got a pre-existing condition like diabetes or hypoglycemia, just ignore sugar.

Edit: You can change what gets tracked under Food > Settings. I prefer to track fiber instead of sugar.

    Ah, that's helpful to know.

    Thank you!

I always go over the sugar limit with grapes, cherries and nectarines, so I just ignore it!
