Does anyone know if hot and sour soup is good for your diet? I love that soup and get full from it but I was wondering if the calorie content is too high.

  • Try looking it up on the food database.

  • It's one of the lower calorie options, if you search it in the diary I think its about 180 cals a cup? In all the "dieters" eating out guides I have looked at, hot and sour soup is recommended as a starter.

I love it too, but prefer it when its thicker and more like a meal (only one local chinese makes it this way, the rest are watery) but I imagine the thicker one will be higher in calories, and also the cals will differ depending on whether its vegetarian, or has meat or eggs in it.

The only thing with it, is I think it is high in sodium

Yea, I just noticed the sodium. :( I just need to drink a lot of water after that! Thanks.
