Am I losing body fat?

Hi
So I have been lifting heavy and watching my calorie intake for around 2 months( I use TDEE). The scale hasn't moved a lot and it actually keeps moving all over the place. I had a body fat reading in June in my gym so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I have since tried using callipers and measuring but the numbers stay the same. ( I am not sure I am reading the callipers right, the number it shows me cannot be right)
However, I have noticed that my upper body looks a lot more defined than they did.A lot more. Not 'bulky' ( I know that isn't a thing).
Just more cut and it is more apparent when I'm lifting or flexing. So I'm wondering whether my body fat IS going down despite the numbers seemingly staying the same? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

Well i think if your looking alot more cut and defined. Id say your body fat is going down. If your goal is to put on muscle, then as long as your not getting to fat and such i wouldn't worry about it. Just lift heavy and eat enough food to help build and repair that muscle. Then when you decided you have build a good amount of muscle and wont to cut the extra fat off then worry about it then. If you feel you are looking better, then don't sweat it.0

if you can see more definition then you must be losing bodyfat.
dont worry too much about the numbers... just go with how you look in the mirror/take pictures! thats my judge of whether i am at a suitable level of bodyfat or not!0 -
Take measurements. Are your clothes fitting better? If you can see the changes then you're probably losing fat.0

Thanks everyone. This makes sense to me. I was feeling a little demoralised especially given that my stomach fat doesn't seem to be shifting but I understand that stomach fat is harder to shift. I will work on getting the body fat measuring right.0
