Hello, I'm a 22 year old female I workout 3-5 days a week and burn 300-600 calories at the moment (that I know of according to the machines) I do not have a job so I do sit around a lot at the moment. I workout for at least 1 hour a day maybe 2 and right now I'm eating 1200-1500 calories a day. Only thing I do really is walk at a high pace on the treadmill. I weigh 210 pounds at the moment and the reason why I'm telling you guys this is cause I need advice. Am I eating to little? Am I not working out enough? I eat 3 meals a day about 400 calories and snack to usually put my calories up higher. Suggestions?
I'm 5'6 btw!

What's your height? If you are my height (5'1'') I would say that it wouldn't hurt to eat a little bit more (in other words, to partially eat back your exercise calories), but it's just a recommendation. If you're closer to say, 5'8'' or so, I would definitely urge you to eat more because your body likely needs more calories that what you give it, on top of what you're burning.0

How long have you been dieting and exercising like that? Also what sorts of foods are making up your diet?0

Just for a month! My eating is down pat I feel ....I try to stay away from processed foods I do find myself eating a lean cuisine meal once a day sometimes 3 days a week. Meat wise I eat just fish and chicken for the most part and for side dishes usually broccoli, kale, sweet potato or brown rice0

Depending on what your goals are, I would agree pearsquared to eat more. Focus on net calories (most articles I've read say for woman to get more than 1200) and maybe have a snack before and after your workouts (some protein and healthy carb).
The only other 2 bits of advice I could offer is 1) pay attention to how you feel; if you're rundown, tired, etc., then eat a bit more. 2) try different caloric amounts and workouts each week and track the results; that way you can really see what gets the best results.0 -
I'm 5'7" and 28. I started in February with 1500 cal/day, at 210 pounds. Currently I eat 1500-1600, and that's net because I eat back my cardio calories. I would say your plan sounds sound, more calories wouldn't hurt. Are you doing any lifting or strength training as well? I urge you to incorporate some, if you aren't already.0
