I have a FitBit Ultra that is not synced with MFP... do you like them working together? Let me know how you've been doing, do you have more success this way?

I sync my fitbit zip and MFP. I love them combined! Fitbit tracks your steps for the day and based on how active you are it will adjust your MFP calories accordingly. I would highly recommend it!0

I have a fitbit ultra (upgraded recently from the one) and have it synced with my MFP. Every now and then, I get syncing problems, but it is always on fitbit's end and not MFP.
Normally, I have had great results with the fitbit syncing and giving me extra calories for my exercise, but I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that it is not giving me near the calories it used to for the same amount of exercise/effort. Not sure why, but I find it a bit frustrating.
For example, on Tuesdays I take a 45 mins. spinning class at lunch. I can't sync my fitbit until I get home and it syncs with my laptop. It used to give me around 400-500 extra calories for that class... this week it gave me 173! Now, why the difference - I put forth the same amount of effort this week, if not more?0 -
I have a Fitbit Ultra that I have sync'ed with my MFP profile. It's fantastic! Since Fitbit will update the exercise on MPF automatically I don't have to worry about entering it. Just be careful though. If you add to your jounal in MPF it will link it to the Fitbit side. I accidentally cross posted lots of stuff I didn't need too. >.< If you haven't linked them yet you definitely should!0

Fitbit isn't the best for measuring accurate calories during biking or any other activity besides walking/running since it's only a pedometer. If you want to measure calories more accurately for this type of activity I would suggest a heart rate monitor instead.0 -
I love using my Flex with MFP - it works fabulously! I use the FitBit to track my movement and calorie consumption, and MFP to track my intake.
Also, it's actually "more" than just a pedometer, but I'm not gonna get into that here - just saying I disagree - there's plenty of threads on that issue already.0 -
Yes, it does more than just being a simple pedometer - tracks sleep, etc. depending on which version you have. I have the fitbit zip which is just a pedometer.0
