No exercise for two weeks

I just got back from the doctor and was advised not to exercise at all for the next two weeks. No swimming, no bowling, no dancing, and walking has been limited to half a mile. I feel like I'm going to go crazy and have gotten used to working out. I have some pain and they believe that I may have torn something which it's cause pain in my lower abdominal area.
Have any of you just done dieting for two weeks and still see results from it? I'm so afraid to gain the weight back instead not being so active.

Maybe you should go on maintenance to help heal your tear. It could help get you back to exercising faster.0

I think as long as you stick to you calories and do the 1/2 mile limit you will still see results. Just be careful and take care of yourself so you can get back to exercising after the two weeks. It is hard to stop doing something you enjoy and are used to but it is for your health and that is why we are all trying to lose weight, to be healthier. Good Luck!!!:happy:0

Yes. As long as I stayed within my calories I continued to lose weight at the same rate.0 -
I hurt my back while in the middle of an exercise program and kept to my diet and maintained my weight. Often times a rest period is need to let the body rest and recover. Stay focused and eat right, hope you recover fast.0

Yes, you will still loose weight as long as you have a deficit. So if you burn 1700 calories a day for example being sedentary (I burn 1900 at 5'8 137lbs lightly active - sedentary should only be used for those who are bed-bound its not for office jobs but we'll use it for you just to be safe) make sure you eat less than that. Take the time to heal b/c if you aggravate your condition, it will only be a bigger problem down the line.0
