Hyper mobility people

My daughter (8) and I were both recently diagnosed with hyper mobility. I am looking for some exercises that may help strengthen my joints to prevent further injuries ( mine causes my hips to dislocate alot, hers causes her elbows and ankles go to haywire)
Anyone else with hyper mobility have any tried and true routines that cause minimal pain?
Thank you for the advice!

I have hyper mobile shoulders, and do a traditional lifting routine (I recently finished sl 5x5). I just make sure to listen to my body when attempting each lift and if anything feels "off", I stop the lift, reset the bar/dumbell/whatever and try again. My shoulder exercises have not progressed nearly as fast as the other exercises, but I am being very careful to avoid injury!
Google hip stability exercises to see if there is anything you can be doing to help stabilize your hips more.0 -
hey! I have also just been diagnosed with hyper mobility and have been given some exercises to do to strengthen my shoulders with a gym ball , such as a slight squat whilst leaning your back on the ball (ball against a wall). Just sitting on the gym ball and slightly bouncing, Laying on the gym ball, face down with your hands on the ground and feet against the bottom of a wall (ball under your belly) and rocking slightly side to side if possible. I recommend you try to see a physiotherapist - they will be able to recommend exercises suited to your problem areas. good luck
- I forgot to say I think these exercises also help with hips as mine come out too but I'm not 100% sure.0 -
Thank you ladies0
