I need to get more protein in my diet besides what I cook. I haven't found any protein powders I like. Does anyone know of any protein pills that work?

Pills won't give you any meaningful quantity of protein. If you don't want to use powders, then eat more protein-rich foods. Jerky, cheese sticks, and nuts are some easy portable snacks.

Jerky is good. Clif bars are really good (protein bars, to me, taste better if they've been in the fridge. The chalky taste kind of disappears.). And protein shakes can be good when mixed with yogurt and fresh strawberries.

If you don't mind me asking .. which protein powders have you already tried.
If you had mentioned this 5-10 years back then I would believe that none are that great tasting but the industry truly has done wonders with the protein powders.
To name a few Trutein, Optimum Nutrition, Dymatize .. those are some brands that have plenty of flavors to choose from and are really easy to find online.
    Hope this helps.

I'm a big fan of protein bars. My current fave are Protein Plus - they have 20g and only about 200cal. The chocolate and chocolate peanut butter are both good. Chocolate chip cookie dough is ok but not great.

    Isopure Dutch Chocolate

    it will change your life
  • 3 protein shakes I like are Orgain, Jay Robb and Spirutein...none have that mediciny taste, have great flavor. The orgain comes premade, more like a milk shake and has the least amount of protein, its more of a meal supplement. Spirutein comes in all different flavors, is non-gmo, vegan etc. I prefer the vanilla flavored but want to try the cookies and cream,. Jay Robb I've only tried the pina colada and it tastes pretty good made with water so I'd imagine if I made it with milk it would taste better.

If you need more protein as far as food goes, why not just try eating more lean meats. Chicken breasts as a snack, or almonds are great protein, even cottage cheese or greek yogurt. I eat all of these as snacks in between meals.

Muscletech's new Deluxe Double Chocolate is INSANELY good, and this coming from a guy who didn't like chocolate flavored protein before...

BSN's Syntha-6 is also tasty, especially their Strawberry flavor.

I would steer clear of stuff like jerky (TONS of sodium, not cost effective) and Clif Bars (260+ calories PER BAR).

One thing you MUST CHECK OUT is Quest Bars. They are from about 160-210 calories, 20g of protein, 5 net carbs, NO SUGAR, Gluten free. You can get them at GNC...

I use Nutrilite protein powder that does not have any taste and can be put in most things you cook. I find that easy way to increase protein in my diet.

I don't remember the names anymore. I want something with no flavor that I could just put in my dinner and not even realize its there pretty much.
