Confusion about calories

I am confused. Here it gives you 1200 Calories to use a day, but if you go to any other site and calcculate what your calorie intake has to be, they all have at least 400 more cals than here. Which is right? People i have talked to said that 1200 is not enough.

this site is wrong0

That's because this site doesn't take in to account the exercise that you're going to do when giving you your original calorie goal. Once you exercise, it tells you to eat those calories back.
Although, 1200 is pretty low for a lot of people.
If you want to change your calorie/macro goals simply go to home > goals > change goals0 -
If i change goals to the correct amount of calories, and i add exercise, i just don't eat those cals correct? Not that i do anyway.0

If you use MFP's system, you're supposed to eat them back.
If you set it up using TDEE, you're not supposed to eat them back.0 -
I'm new to this site, dr recommended 1800 calories to start my journey. The 2 days I've been on the site I've been 250 and 500 calories short. Am I undermining myself, should I lower my calories goal dispite doc's orders? I'm not hungry.0

Personally, I have found 1200 just fine.

As others have said, this sites way of calculating calories is rather poor.0

Probably yes. You didn't really give us any details from which to make a judgment.0 -

DITTO
MFP expects you to log exercise and eat back those calries. if you use a TDEE method, it takes your exercise into account when making your goals- so you don't log the used calories or eat them0 -
