Eating enough?

I need help. According to MFP my daily calorie intake should be around 1,690. This is based on my sedentary job (desk job) and wanting to lose 1lb a week. I am logging (based on my Polar monitor ) I burn anywhere from 800 to 1,000 calories a day which build my caloric intake. Today for example I burned 1,000 calories to day and I need to eat 2,690 calories. As of right now 5:00pm I've only had 1,059...and I don't feel like eating another 1,000 cals.
Any advice?
Thanks

What exercise are you doing to burn 1000cals, just out of interest?
You do not want to eat below your BMR, regardless. 1059 cals isn't enough for your body to properly run on. I'd look to calorie dense foods like nuts/avacados to up your intake to at least 1500. If this is a frequent problem I'd look at changing your diet to include higher calorie foods to help reach your target.0 -
Is your heart monitor running all day? If so I think that just counts as your BMR and that is built into MFP's estimate for what you need to be eating.0

@snazzyjazz21 - My workouts are mostly cardio high intensity. I'm using GORUCK 6 weeks getting ready program right now.
@umieto - No I just wear it while I'm working out.0 -
That's.....That's a lot of calories. That's awesome.
Like Snazzyjazz said go for calorie dense foods. When I'm desperate to get some calories in but don't really fancy eating I find milk is pretty good, bananas are great pre-workout, adding mayonnaise to anything helps and oily fish are good for protein, and essential fats. Also cheese is great. Always cheese.
I hope those suggestions help a bit0 -
So if you find that your at the end of your day & are not hungry but still have 300 - 400 more calories to go to meet your intake do you eat anyways???0

I do. A cup of ice cream and a cookie will close that gap super quick.
That's just me though.0 -

A handful of nuts or two will close that gap pretty quickly.0 -
a 1/2 cup of almonds and a glass (2 cups) 1% Chocolate milk will get you 620 calories and that is barely a snack.... OP include some calorie dense foods, I also burn over 1000 calories most days (workout 6 days with 1 day off) knowing this I spread my calories out over my meals so I am not left with a ton of calories at the end of the day... I do save 500-600 calories for a bedtime snack but I am also maintaining at 4000 calories a day and have no problem hitting that.... Best of Luck0
