I was wanting to know if there what any way to add me being pregnant to my profile? I am wanting to be able to eat what I need for me and my baby.

  • I am having the same issue! At first I just wanted to track my calories but its hard when the website makes you have a set goal with how much weight you want to lose. Pregnant women shouldn't lose weight so it's a shame they don't have that option on this website!

I know this varies between women and the different pregnancies... but the guideline I have kept coming across is to add only an extra 300 calories for when pregnant. So you could just manually change it in your diary settings. However, if you really want to know how many calories you should be consuming you could consult with a dietician (perhaps one that specializes in pregnancy) to make sure.

You could just go into settings and select maintain current weight! If you really want people to know you are pregnant you could type it into your profile! Like the previos post... you really don't need to eat more because you are pregnant and if you are eating healthy that's all that matters!

You can use this tool and then manually change your calorie goal. That's what I did.

I would talk to your doctor about how many calories you should be eating and then simply enter it into MFP. As a previous poster said, the general rule of thumb is 300 more than your pre-preg caloric intake but in my case I needed to add more than that.
