Okay so i have been overeating rather unhealthy for about two days (around 4000 cals) and now i feel clogged up and bloated, obviously. I feel as if i had just made m body a trash bin and i would like to feel more clean.I hate this feeling because i have been eating chealthy for 7 months and had no sugar or anything refined and now i literally overloaded myself with it.My scale went up 7 kg since two days ago so i am kind of freaking out. My question is however since i feel bloated and full of trash would a detox day be unhealthy? By that i mean only water and teas? Would it do me some damage>

People on these forums will attack you
1. for using the word detox
2. if you say you're gonna fast.
If you want to do it, do it. No 24 hours will not hurt you.
Also WTH is your picture on your ticket of!0 -
While it will likely not do any damage it will also not likely be beneficial. If it were me I would eat slightly under my goal for the next couple days (unless your goal is ridiculously low). Remember that 7700 calories are in a kg, so that weight that you "gained" will not be permanent.
Keep at it!0 -
You feel bloated because you are retaining water, which is going to be most of what your 'gain' is made up of.
Just go back to eating sensibly and your body will do the 'detox' itself. There's no need to live off nothing but water for a day.0 -
Overeating then starving yourself is an unhealthy pattern to start. Your body will detox itself just fine without you starting a possible binge/starve cycle. We all overeat occasionally - the trick is to just count it and move on. Don't do drastic 'detoxes' that are pointless and do nothing but make you hungry.
The extra weight will be in part water weight from excess sodium and bloating and will go away after a few days of eating 'normally' again.
Personally I would just eat at my normal calorie deficit - get lots of protein and fresh fruit and veg and move on. Maybe try to add in some extra exercise - even just some long walks.
Also look at why you overate - is your diet too restrictive? Knowing why you do something will help you more that punishing yourself with a fast. :flowerforyou:0 -

The tiker is just something i stumbled upon a long time ago while searching the internet. I am not trying to loose weight, just maintining and building muscle. My calories and diet are not too low, i usually eat 2000-2500 but for the previous two days i ate around 4000, meaning 4000 over what i normally eat i guess would resut in one pound. I am not bothered by that as i could gain some weight but i feel really toxicated, don't know how to explain it. The cause of overeating the first day was diarhhea that i have been experiencing for a month, literally going to the bathroom after every meal practically every othr day so i loose a lot of food and energy and then i genrally overea with sugar, bread, butter and margarine on those days till i am sick. The diarhhea was caused by stress. However i started taking medicaion yesterday and the diarhhea was not present but i overate anyway with 4000 calories due to diarhhea being overnight. I felt stuffed and full throughout the dy but fel like i needed the nutriets for food and really bdly just wanted someone to inject them in me since i wasn't physically able to eat more due to fullness. Today i am sick of all the food i consumed and just about water day as the fastest solution to detox my body after month of unhealthy eating but okay i will just get back to the routine, as it may seem smarter to do.0
