Forgotten Food

What healthy food did forget that you loved?

I had forgotten how much I love eating a cold raw tomato with just a little salt.

Blueberries. My grandfather grows them and brought me a bag about a month ago. I had forgotten how delicious and satisfying a small handful can be as a snack, or sprinkled on just about anything.

Bananas. I got out of eating them for a while, and now I wonder why.

Bell peppers. I can house those like nobody's business.

Whole roasted chicken. Every time I'm surprised at how easy it is to cook and how delicious it is. It makes me feel bad for all of those wasted years of boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Cottage Cheese. I grew up on cottage cheese and have always loved it. But I started watching my sodium really closely I cut cottage cheese out of my diet. And after I stopped being so restrictive on the sodium, it took me seeing it on the shelf one day while picking up some sour cream to remember how much I loved it. And now I have it almost every day as a snack.
