Wii Workout Game

I am looking for alternatives to a gym membership besides walking in my neighborhood. Does anyone have any Wii workout games that they suggest? Until I get a little more weight off, I'm not yet comfortable working out in public.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I really enjoyed the Just Dance games when I had a Wii. They were a great way to get my heart rate up and sweat. Not necessarily a 'workout game' but it certainly keeps you active.
  • I have one... but I'm getting bored with it... that and I just about have those dances memorized! Thanks so much for the suggestion though!

Biggest Loser is good, I still use this one regularly. It has a variety of workouts and you can also design your own based on what you like or what areas you want to focus on. It gives me really great burns as well. EA Sports Active (I have the more workouts version) is another good one, it has a lot of workouts on it strength as well as cardio. My favorite is the step workout. I also have the origianl wii fit game but don't really play that much anymore, just use it mainly as a good logging tool.

    Hope that helps =)

Wii has a Zumba game which is a lot of fun. I also agree that the just dance games are great too. They keep you moving which is the whole point of getting healthier. I've tried the Jillian Michaels' game and wasn't impressed. I'm all for better graphics on games, and it was lacking in that department. I also have the wii fit board. It came with some games. It was very helpful.

When I started walking as part of my exercise, I walk in my neighborhood and other neighborhoods. I had 180 lbs to lose. If someone gives me crap (hasn't happened yet), I wouldn't be able to hear it over my headphones anyway. I think most people understand you're walking or exercising to improve yourself. It's only the minority that are jerks out there. Don't give them mind. They're not worth it.
  • Well.. I couldn't decide what to buy, so I went to the Game Store in my town and they had a buy 2 get 1 free deal. SCORE! I got the Michael Jackson Game, Country Line Dancing and Biggest Loser... Thanks for the suggestions!
