Feeling hungry is my weakness

HELP!!! After looking at myself in the mirror yesterday, I felt so disappointed. I'm 46 yrs old and about 45 lbs more than I want to be. It's really not the weight I'm so concerned about, it's how I look - rolls everywhere! I take full responsibility for the way I look, I can't seem to stop eating. My biggest weakness is that I don't like to feel hungry. I'm also at a disadvantage because I work at a desk for 10 hrs a day and alot of the eating is from boredom/monotony of work. I ALWAYS eat breakfast (I'm hypoglycemic so not eating breakfast has never been an issue), BUT my breakfast is carb-loaded (cheerios/rice crispies, skim milk, english muffin and butter). What I'm hoping from y'all is some tasty and quick ideas for breakfast and snacks. Thank you in advance.

Scrambled Egg and two slices of bacon is my go to breakfast. I may slice some avocado to top my eggs.0

It makes you NOT eat breakfast, nor after 7pm. The first three days are really hard.... then the HUNGER.. just... goes away.
You still know when you are hungry, but the CRAVE, the FFEEEDDD MEEEEE feeling is gone.. after that it is EASY to lose!0 -
1. How many calories are you eating per day?
2. Carbs aren't bad as long as you are hitting your protein and fat goals. (Which are minimums.)
To answer your question:
Breakfast: Some combination of these: protein bar, banana, greek yogurt, bagel with pb/cream cheese, or peanut butter banana sandwich
Snacks: 100 calorie popcorn, string cheese, cottage cheese, protein bar, handful of nuts, fruits/veggies0 -
you need to add protein to your breakfast. How about Peanut butter on the english muffin, I add sliced banana or apple and it really holds me.0

Peanut Butter (2 tbsp) -- 190 calories; 7g protein
Cheerios & Skim Milk (1 cup each) -- 186 calories; 11g protein
I don't understand why peanut butter is touted as a great source of protein?

Drink water when you feel hungry. It may be you are just thirsty. In any case, water or hot herbal tea can quite hunger pains.0

Peanut butter and wheat make a complete protein.
Turn your weakness into a strength. Tell yourself that every hunger pang you feel means that you are winning. I do.0 -

Absolutely!! So many people are dehydrated and the signal in the brain is the same. Increase your water intake and youll see your hunger go down.0 -

This. Or, if you don't have time to make breakfast like that in the mornings, make omelet muffins muffins ahead of time, and eat them during the week.0 -

Interesting. I'd love to see some scientific research to support that! I looked but am having trouble finding any...
Telling yourself that feeling hungry is a positive feeling is a strategy linked to anorexia. Not saying anyone here is sick in such a way, but I try to steer clear of thought processes that mirror psychological disorders.
Anybody think OP might actually be hungry and need to eat? Not chug a bunch of water to trick her body into thinking she doesn't?
I think it's at least important to rule that out before you start coaching her on how to successfully under eat.0 -

I appreciate what you're saying, but being hungry as you approach your next meal is normal. I'm simply saying that if I'm feeling hungry when it's time for my next meal, I did something right. If I'm not hungry by the time my next meal is due, then I probably too much at my last meal.
Embracing hunger pangs does not necessarily lead to a psychological disorder.
As far as your first point, Google "peanut butter and whole wheat bread complete protein". Not sure if you'll find research, but I believe the statement is correct. For bodybuilders, there are probably more preferable sources of protein.0
