Up until this week, I hadn't lost a thing in ages. When i looked in the mirror, I looked the same.

Then I went on holiday - spent 2 weeks in Toronto visiting my parents (I was there sorting out my visa to return to the UK, and mum and dad flew over from Europe to keep me company) and just got back at the weekend. For the first time ever, I went on holiday and lost weight - ok, a miniscule amoung (less than a pound), but still. I've never gone on holiday before and not gained weight. Well, once - one year I went to Whistler and lost 3lbs, but I was also skiing for 8 hours a day for a week, so that might have done it.

Anyways, I ate huge amounts when I was in TO - I was out for lunch AND dinner every day, we went to restaurants that served 8 course tasting menus and I drank quite a bit of ice wine one of those nights. HOWEVER, I also went to the gym mad amounts. I went to a kettlebell class pretty much every day for 45 minutes, then I went to yoga for an hour and a half every day.

I'd love to be able to keep it up now I'm home, but I don't have a car and can't get around town as easily, plus I'm now back at uni 4 half days a week and one full day, and I'll be working part time as well, so 4 half days a week. All in all I think I will be at uni 16-20 hours and at work about 16. I'm working late every night because the project I'm working on is coming to a close at the end of the year and there are meetings coming out the wazoo. Plus I have uni work, field trips, and a boyfriend who already thinks he never sees me.

I was going to kettlebell training 3 times a week and pilates once a week - it was usually Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and I would spend Thursday, Friday and weekends doing something active and outdoorsy with my boyfriend. I don't think I can do 3 kettlebells essions a week anymore though, as the gym closes before I finish work at the moment (it shuts at 7, and I finish at 6 - so not enough time to get there). I thought I could replace one or more of the kettlebell sessions with yoga as there is a decent studio near my house, but I'm finding it a bit hectic and difficult trying to get a handle on my new schedule at the moment!

And this is all before i have to hand in assessments for uni! Yikes!

Hey don't stress yourself out about it, that won't help at all as I've heard through the Biggest Loser that this can cause weight gain!!! Main thing is that you had a good time AND lost a wee bit of weight. By the sounds of it you are going too be to busy to eat never mind anything else. I don't know what the job is but if it involves walking about then that will be some exercise, if not then just walk back and forth when you have a spare minute. Once you get back into a routine you will figure out when you will have time to fit something in and make time for the boyfriend - I'm sure he will understand  . Keep us posted and take care :flowerforyou:
