unless you consumed about 13,000 calories over TDEE, chances are - you didnt gain 4 lbs. our bodies have the ability to retain easily due to many factors. the scale has shown that i have gained 6-7 lbs during 1 day of heavy holiday-style eating- which obviously wasnt possible... within 2-3 days, the majority of it was gone.

you may have back tracked a lb or so- it happens to us all. you can only look ahead and do well all week...should be back to where you were in a few days!
  • i did the same and once i got back on track it all came off a few days later, i lost 3 lb over night, btw what the hell does TDEE mean ive been seeing it everywhere but havent a clue what it means

Don't worry. I had a day off my diet because of a family BBQ. I had three cans of cider, two burgers, two hot dogs and a few shish kebabs. I went up by about 7lbs. It took three or four days for my weight to go down to normal.

Some may be real weight the rest is the actual food still going through your intestines and fluids.

My guess .... without seeing your diary ... is that the food you ate over the weekend was high in sodium and you drank almost no water.

For weight gains like that it is usually the fault of water retention and will quickly shift again if you return to a diet within normal sodium ranges and drink plenty of water.
