I am brand-new to this. I started a diet on September 7 and have lost 7 pounds. I need motivation to exercise. I would welcome healthy recipes and new friends.

Hello and welcome to MFP! Congratulations on your decision to get fit -- that's great! You'll find everyone on this site to be very positive, encouraging and motivating. Feel free to friend request me if you'd like. :)

Also, if you're on Facebook, please feel free to check out the group I created over there, called Motivation. Many positive, encouraging people and helpful hints and tips over that way, too! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=268180696780&ref=ts

Best wishes on your fitness journey!

I am brand-spanking new to this site. This is my 3rd day. I haven't lost anything yet, but I think this community of people will help me a lot. Please befriend me and I will gladly leave positive, supportive comments when I can.

I also have a question that I'm going to throw out there: Does anyone notice their seasonal allergies (grass, pollen, whatnot) seem to exacerbated with being obese? Or is it just my imagination?
