I don't want to be skinny

I just want to be healthy and strong. I am currently at the highest weight I have been when not pregnant. My goal is to lose 25 pounds and start training for a sprint triathalon. I also want to teach my children to eat better. They both have amazing metabolisms now and I want them to learn how to best fuel their bodies.

A friend put me onto this site over summer. I started, but then quit, so this is my next try. I can sit down and figure out what is best to eat, and frequently find that I'm not hungry, just bored. I also went by to my exercise class, 1.5 hours 4x week and have joined up with a group of friends to check in once a week for accountablility.

Wish me luck - here I go.

Good Luck! Its not impossible! NOTHING is, some things just take a little longer =] I weighed 201 when I delivered my son. I am now down to 147 (maybe heavier after todays lunch, LOL). Again...good luck! You can do it and I will help in any way possible!

Keep up the great work and attitude. Your goals are just that. Your goals. Deep down inside we all know what's right for us. And it's not necessarily what someone else might recommend. :)

Teaching kids at an early age how to eat better is priceless. And at the very least they should at least know how to control calories first if they have a weight problem but if they have great metabolisms the next logical step is best fuel for the body. Each body is different. One size doesn't fit all.

Fit and Healthy is a better goal then skinny.
I like to change the settings on MFP to include Vicamon C, Iron, Calcium and fiber. I pick this site because it is helping me adjust my diet to get closer to the daily recommended amounts of these. I have noticed an improvement in Energy because of it. THis site is a great too. I hope you enjoy making it work for you.

Me neither! (although my goal weight of 125 might be too skinny...I'm going to modify my final goal as I go along.) I think curvy women are the MOST beautiful, assuming they're fit. Currently, I am curvy but not fit, so that's what I'm trying to change. If I lose too much curves along the way, I'll gain a tiny bit back in a healthy way, because I don't want to be a waif. I commend you on teaching your kids' healthy eating habits. I REALLY wish my parents had done that with me! Really, they still don't have healthy habits and although neither of them are severely overweight or obese, they still struggle with their weight as a result. Anyway, best of luck to you!
