Looking for Support

I started my weight-loss journey with weight watchers online in March, and lost 18 lbs. However I just felt that I didn't have a supportive enough online community and so when my sister suggested MFP, I ditched weight watchers and said "hey who can beat free?" I have since lost another 1.2 lbs and I have set a goal to lose 20 lbs by September 21st, which is also the date of my first 5 K!
Back in March when I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office and heard the nurse say 340, I just about fell over, I knew I had gained weight but the fact that I was only 10 lbs away from 350 was devastating. I've always been overweight but this was a whole new class of overweight for me. Since then I've been working to change my lifestyle and while it's been a slow start, I am finally getting things on track. I've become a waterfall junkie and so I spend most weekends hiking to waterfalls or just plain hiking. I've slowly noticed the uphill getting easier although I still stop for breaks but I look forward to the day that I can go all the way up that hill at my favorite one without stopping! I also started a couch to 5K program a couple weeks ago, and realized that I actually enjoy it.
Still I know how important it is to have support on this journey and I still have well over 100 lbs to lose. I am looking for friends who can offer their support and take on this journey with me. Whether you have 100+ lbs to lose or you've already lost it, or you're just maintaining your weight, I would be grateful for any support you can offer.
Thanks,
Liz

For the longest time If weight didn't come off fast for me i would quit. Now I know it is indefinitely a slow steady race. I just came back to mfp full time 10 days ago I am looking for new friends for support and motivation as well. After I got my promotion at work I got wrapped up in terrible habits but I am ready to go back to my healthy life style as I was before six months ago!0
