Hubby and I are working on dieting and he'd like to start lifting.
I'm wondering what powder would be the tastiest and the smoothest. I absolutely can NOT handle strange textures.
Most fulfilling and tasty powder?

I'm using Whey Gourmet, it gets high ratings for taste, and I can confirm! I have the PB Chocolate. Very yummy on it's own or in a yogurt-banana smoothie.0

Syntrax Nectar protein powders. They are whey based & the brand most recommended by physicians & dietitians. They offer a bunch of flavors. My favorite are Caribbean Cooler (pineapple coconut), grape & chocolate. I add them to all kinds of food, but also drink the Caribbean Cooler & grape flavors in just water. I put 1-2 scoops in 32 ounces of water, then add some Dasani Water enhancer to increase the flavor. They are quite good! You can get them at the Vitamin Shoppe, but also on several bariatric sites on line.0

Optimum Nutrition whey protein has a ton of flavors and is really smooth and creamy. I love Extreme Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream. I buy it on Amazon.0

I second the Optimum Nutrition. Lots of flavors taste great, goes down easy. Stick with whey protein to start off with. If you don't like texture then I highly advise to stay away from the casein protein powders (its more for serious lifters, people that what to put on weight anyway).0

Champion nutrition tastes amazing. I love the banana scream, and the cookies n cream. Don't know if it is the "best" but it gets the job done.0

ON's Gold Standard is a good Whey Isolate protein. I like the Extreme Milk Ch, been using it for a long time. However it is a fast digesting protein that is good for recovery right after workouts. If you your looking for slower digestion protein blend that will stay with you take a look at Dymatize fusion 7 and Syntha 6 from BSN.0

A product called Metabolic Reset is whey based. It's flavors are not too bad. The chocolate is better than the vanilla.
I does help with hunger pains.0 -

I like the Protizyme whey protein powders made by Metabolic Nutrition for the taste and for the extra vitamins (like iron) that it gives you. Thus far my favorites are the Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Cake flavors.0

I also HIGHLY recommend the Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein line. So far I have tried the Vanilla Ice Cream flavor and love it.0
