My progress thus far, still have a ways to go.
It took three months (march-june) to properly taper cals down slowly (50-100 a week!) from my winter bulk and finally cut correctly. (coming from improper excess of cals)
that's three months of no muscle gained, and no fat lost essentially. Which resulted in this:
June 1st
Start of full deficit. Relaxed, no pump
two months of 500 deficit and tracking macros almost perfect everyday to this:
August 1st
Relaxed, no pump
Now (avi)
Flexed, no pump
Still not at my goal yet. Just wanted to show some of you how long progress can take.. do not diet down too fast or you will make the same mistake I did a couple times.

500 calorie deficit was achieved over time.. So from the excess of probably 600-700.. I had to taper down 100 cals a week at most to get down to the 2200 I'm at now, which is ~500 deficit.
and oh yes to lifting. Just as hard as if I were trying to gain mass. Very important for muscle retention0 -

Good cut man. Trying to hold on to as much muscle as possible, Im at 2300 cals a day. 404020 split. what do you do for cardio? Also what would you say your current BF% is now.
I do HIIT every 1-2 weeks. Last sunday I did layne nortons 15 minute stationary bike HIIT.
