Hi Everyone.
I'm getting really disheartened at the moment. Everytime I think I have a healthy diet someone tells me the things I'm eating arnt really that healthy or have hidden sugar /fats etc etc. I try to stick to non processed food so I know whats in it my typical days menu would be as follows:-
Breakfast : 2 Eggs (poached or scrambled with a tsp olive oil, NO milk/butter) & Two mushrooms chopped
Mid morning snack : 2 x clementines or an apple
Diner : Seafood mix 250G (prawns, squid, muscles) with a small salad from morrisons (lettuce, sweetcorn, onions, peppers, cucumber 1/2 a scoop of cous cous and a tablespoon helping of colslaw)
Mid afternoon snack : Nature Valley oats & Chocolate 42g
Diner : 1 Chicken breast/ trout oven baked with onions, garlic, 1 sweet potato either mashed or chippen and oven baked. Broccoli and a threes tbl spoons of sweet chilli/pesto for the chicken.
Ive been told sweetcorn is really bad and has loads of sugar in it , and the nature valley bars have loads of fat in them. Can anyone help or suggest anything i should swap or add / takeaway from this diet . I try to stick to same foods because its easier shopping
I'm also biking 6 miles a day to and from work. Try to run around 3 times a week 4 miles each time, and do a fat burn class saturday mornings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't see anything wrong with what you have here. Sweet corn is naturally high in sugars, but that doesn't mean you have to elliminate, it just means you need to measure (do not estimate).
The granola bar, ok so it does have high sugar/fat content, but still, not as bad for you as a donut or piece of cake. We all have a bit of a sweet tooth, if that is what you need to help with it, as long as it fits in your macros then it is fine. Personally I'm not a big granolla bar fan, and find I want a little sweet treat... my go to has always been ice cream. I still have a cup of ice cream 1-2 times a week if it fits. The rest of the time I fix myself a fruit and yogurt smoothie, and it is like having a milkshake! Plus since I use greek yogurt and fresh berries it is better for me.0 -
If it keeps you full and fits your macros, you have nothing to worry about.0

'Healthy' is very subjective and will vary based on who you ask. Don't worry about what other people think-just focus on what foods make YOU feel good and gets you closer to your goals0 -
I think it sounds fine. If you are hitting your goals then don't listen to other people. If you goal is to reduce sugar then fine, yes, some of those things are high in sugar. But otherwise just keep doing what you are doing. Sounds like a yummy day to me0

I cant see anything wrong with this, looks healthy enough to me. So long as it fits your needs and you're losing weight as you want its no one else's business to comment. I know from experience that people around you always want to have their say- I work on the basis that I decide what's good for me, if it works I stick to it. Good luck with the diet x0
