When / how to reset goal calories

I asked this in the tech support section but did not get any hits. Lets say my settings are at losing 1.5 lbs per week and that gives me a daily caloric goal of 1870. As I lose weight and update my current weight in MFP and by keeping the 1.5 lb loss constant shouldn't my daily caloric goal go down? Does this only happen after a certain time interval or is there something I need to do to manually reset them to reflect my current weight?

Every ten pounds MFP will automatically adjust your calorie goal and notify you of the new number.0
