Hey everyone. My name is Jennifer. I am a stay at home mom and a military wife. I have two beautiful daughters 2 and 3 yrs old. I weigh 218 and I'm 5'7. I really need to get rid of this weight. My mood is affected, I have no energy to play with my girls. I hate looking at myself in the mirror lately so now is the time to change. My biggest weakness is soda. I am very addicted to soda. I can drink a 24 case of soda in 3 days. Its bad. Any advice would be great!

Welcome! I never had a soda addiction, but I used to wouldn't touch diet sodas to save my life. Now I love them! The ones I started on that taste the least "diet" to me are Diet Barq's, Sprite Zero, and Diet Dr. Pepper. You really will get so use to them after a while that the regular ones will gag u they are so sweet. Good luck!

I agree. Start drinking diet soda and you can eliminate about 1200 calories each day. That's over two pounds a week in calorific value!
  • Hi, Jennifer :)
I, myself, am a new member, mom, and a military wife. I just saw your post and it registered with me. I used to have that same problem years ago but broke it when I STOPPED BUYING IT (lol) and making better choices such as drinking more water. Not saying that I like water but I have found that flavor packets from Crystal Light or any other brand makes it so much easier! Good luck with your goal!
  • Try club soda with fresh lime or a jigger of vanilla syrup (the kind you can buy to flavor your coffee). The vanilla syrup turns the club soda into a cream soda. The syrup comes in sugar free. I mix club soda with fruit juices too because I like the fizz.

I'm a mother of 2 girls too but mine are grown and on their own.............whew!

    Good luck!

    Hi,
Well my name is Sara I'm from Texas. In highschool I swam twice a day five days a week and enjoyed eating whatever I wanted, now that I've settled into college life I have gained a lot of new experiences and tons of weight. WAY more then the freshmen 15. My biggest downfall when it comes to dieting is carbs. I love pasta, chips, bread, lol anything that adds fluff and I'm starting to see the results of eating this way. My boyfriend has also joined the site with me and is also going through this journey with me! BTW, so exicted that there is a free website for weight loss (:

Hope to get to know some of yall!
    Sara (:
