Hi,
I am hoping to take part in this 60 Miles race next year. Apart from my cycling approx 18 miles 3 times a week, what else do you recommend I do in preparation for the race? Any comments from experience cyclist would be greatly appreciated.
I also need to buy a suitable bike. My current bike is a 17 year old mountain bike.
Thanks All.

The BHF website has training resources at http://www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/events/training/cycling/training-schedule.aspx - you'll need to be doing more than 3 x 18km rides a week though!
Also, its a fun ride not an all out race; raise sponsorship money for the BHF and have fun doing it.
Oh, and sort out a lift home or use the provided road transport. You won't be allowed to get the train out of Brighton as Southern Railway refuse to co-operate by laying on extra trains.0 -
Thank you for the sound advise. Much appreciated!!!!0
