Just finished Plyo and feel good, tired but good. In some of the moves I felt the tightness and soreness in my chest and back from last nights workout. My legs are gonna be sore tomorrow I know it but I love it.
Keep at it everyone!!! Tomorrow is arms and shoulders I'm sure thats gonna be fun cause Im sore but I know I will loosen up I really like that workout then its ab ripper afterwards0 -
I'm in my third week of P90x (and lovin' it) but, I'm not losing any weight... are you following the calorie requirements in the nutrition part of the program? For me, it's around 3000 and I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around that and have been doing more what MFP projected... appreciate hearing what is working.0

I focus on increasing my protein because thats important.
Don't beat yourself up your body is still adjusting.
3000 that seems like a lot. I don't think I burn as many calories as it says you can burn. I know when I did insanity they said 600-900 calories and it wasn't that and I wore a HRM. as of now my HRM is out of commission.0 -
Thanks - I'll try upping the protein and keeping the calories on the lower side, AND being a bit more patient - have a hrm and it seems that I'm burning about what was projected with 600 calories.... happy P90xing!0

wow I don't think I'm burning that much I say as an estimate im burning 250-300 but then again thats an estimate because my dog ate my chest strap so I have to get a new one. Keep at it results will come0 -
The lifting exercises I only burn under 350. I've burned over 700 on legs and back. And plyo I've done around 800 calories. We haven't done Kenpo in a few months now, my husband hates it.0

i won't know until I buy a new chest strap or a new hrm. so Im just estimating my calories burned and aiming low.0 -
Tonight was shoulders and arms plus ab ripper. I did 45 of shoulders and arms and made it through 10 minutes of ab ripper. tonight was tough for me because I'm so sore from Mondays chest and back workout. but I tried to suck it up I still pushed myself. But I didn't do the bonus round of Arms and Shoulders and 10 minutes into ab ripper I was toast.0

1 complaint about P90x is that I'm gaining weight right now errrrrrr. I know its because of my muscles retaining water because they are repairing themselves but i hate to see the scale going up and staying there not just flucuating0

So I found out tonight that my husband purchsed the p90x program for cheap off ebay but it doesn't include the bands or pull up bar. I doubt I would be able to do pull-ups anyway but where could I get the bands from? is there a good online site that isn't super expensive?0

go to walmart or target. The system doesn't come with those things anyway you have to purchase everything.0 -

Awesome thanks so much!0 -
Congrats on taking the P90X plunge, you'll soon be glad that you did.
I've personally been through the program over 6 times and still feel the need to 'keep pushing play'. For people that dont like the Yoga because of the length, I'd suggest Tony's 'One on One' Yoga video. It is 45 minutes of basically the same strength moves, with posture poses taken out.
Yoga is the Fountain of Youth!

If there is anyone out there that wants an accountability push, a Coach is the way to go. I personally put 'Success Stories' on my personal website and get updates from my people daily. Pushing play and eating right are apart of the program, however, some people (me personally in the beginning) benefited from having someone educated and disciplined in the program pushing them to keep moving forward in the right direction...could be just what the doctor ordered.
Congrats again and I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in getting a FREE push to keep pushing play!0 -

Yeah, I'm swole right now too. LOL i just recommend green tea, like Lipton Green Tea to help shed excess water. But your muscles need the fluid, so try not to weigh yourself too often if it bothers you to see the numbers.0 -

Starting my first round of P90X on Monday 9/20. I was refered to this site to track diet while on the program. Looks like a great site. I really need to track my calories, as I tend to skip meals, and from what I read, that will be a disaster while doing P90X.
I am 53, and REALLY need to get in shape. Not so much for weight loss, but to up my stamina & energy. Not a workout junkie, but hoping with support from here and the "other" site I can keep my motivation up. Wish me luck! and....Bring It!0 -
P90X is the best program ever made! it works! check out RevAbs as well...0

Today was legs and Back and was a good workout- I know tomorrow I am going to feel it but I'm weird and love to feel the pain in my muscles. Tomorrow is my other rest day and I love that. Because the back to backs during the week kick my butt. Monday starts week 3 which is crazy that it seems to be going so fast. Ready for some results but still being patient, I should say I'm excited to see results.0
