hello everybody! my name is andrea & i look forward to getting to know you all!!
a few reasons i am here:

2 i am VERY good at planning but awful at following through. i need all the extra support i can get, pllleeaasee!!
3. i want to be healthier/skinner by my 27th birthday.
4. i lost a good amount of weight while pregnant with my daughter & right after having here but its back. i weight the same amount now as i did the day i went in to have her, grrrrr!!
i am soooo embarassed to say the amount but i am hoping it will help motivate me lose it. so here we go...183.6. yikes. so here's the plan:

3rd goal: 15lbs by 01/04 (146.6)
4th goal: 10lbs by 02/15 (136.6)
5th goal: 12lbs by 05/02 (124.6) ---> my 27th birthday
fitness goals:
1st 5 weeks: 5x's a week for 40 minutes
2nd 5 weeks: 5x's a week for 1 hour
3rd 5 weeks: 5x's a week for 1 1/2 hours
4th 5 weeks & on: 5x's a week for 2 hours

Wow you are a great planner as above! I am the same I plan and plan and then dont follow through or do for awhile and then fall off badly. I am getting much better the last couple of months tho so these are my top tips for ya:
- Login every day and never cheat your food diary (I like to stay under so I used to "forget" to add little mouthfuls I had had but you are only cheating yourself!)
- Take every day one at a time - like an alcoholic haha don't think about never eating junk food again, think about not eating it just for today
- Make a rule, if you eat something "bad" eat just the next meal super healthy. I find if I have a bad meal I think screw it and go nuts on the junk food but if you have to have the next meal healthy you feel better about yourself and aren't so tempted to binge!
Good luck you can totally do it this time x0 -
that is wonderful advice! thank you, thank you, thank you0

i love the title nothing taste as good as skinny feels. you have inspired me. i find false starts are helpful. don't get into failure thinking. just try again the next day, and before you know it. you have cut down calories. you have eaten less sugar. and after a few days of having breakdowns here and there i finally can do it. i just started too and am finally having an easy time. my best advice is more veggies, more fruit. for example always have a salad too, or add steamed veggies. if i think of anything else i'll share.

the title is very motivating!! i have to keep telling myself that though lol that is good advice, thank you! i am thinking of cutting out red meats bc they stick with you & i have some health issues that they flare up. what do you guys think? do you eat red meat?0

Dieting is great, but it's only half the equation.
Get into the gym.
Building muscle will change your shape, boost your metabolism and feels really good.
I started going to the gym just for the mental benefits, as I have a history of depression.
Depression and stress are totally better since I started working out.
Then I started looking at my diet... which I couldn't do without MFP's app on my iPod (too disorganized).
Bottom line, enjoy the journey... and the goals will manifest in time.0 -
You will find so much support here. Good luck on your journey xxx0

hey there! first off, welcome! i turned 27 this year, so by next july 3rd (my28th) i want to look awesome when i go to the beach for once!
i actually cut out red meat over 10 years ago, just on a random thought, and though i may have it in very small portions, a few times a year, i haven't had a whole burger or steak or anything like that ever since i stopped.
i also cut out soda, and same goes with that too. i'll have it every now and again, but diet. growing up we always had coke stocked up thanks to my dad, but now that he's passed on we never have it unless we have company, which is rare.
as Bebe said, you'll find soooo much support on here, and one of the best parts is that you won't have to be embarassed to share your weight, or how many oreos you ate one night on a binge haha. i know for me the support is great, and keeps me coming back here on a daily basis. just having someone tell you, "great job" when you've stayed below your calories for the day will make you smile. i know it does it for me! feel free to add me, and good luck!0 -
wow i like your goals
I like the way you think
you came to the right place if your looking to drop the lbs. this i think is the best place for it what i would say to help you
no matter what you eat wirte it down... in time you will see what your eating and you will change your life style and if you need to talk i am here most of the day your going to do good i can see it just have fun in what your doing and smile0 -
Welcome! You will love it here. So many wonderfully supportive people. I used to have a sign on my fridge that said " Nothing tastes as good as thin feels/". Love it!0
