I will be going out this Saturday evening on a sunset river cruise. I have to take a picnic with me and would be very grateful for some ideas of low calorie picnic foods. As we are going on a boat I ideally need to take finger foods. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I try to take fresh fruit and cut veggies with a healthy dip like hummus.
I also like to find low calorie/carb tortillas and low fat cream cheese/neufatzchel, mix together with a good fresh salsa and make tortilla rolls.0 -

6" tortillas rolled with maybe some turkey, little lettuce and a tiny smear of mustard or light mayo? I like them rolled and sliced into small easy to handle pieces.
Small Shish Kabobs with maybe strawberries, pineapple and little plastic container of yogurt dip?
Home cooked chicken breast cut into cubes with maybe a bit of BBQ sauce and could eat with a toothpick?
Shrimp cocktail after all it is a cruise ~ whatever you bring, have a wonderful time.0 -
Shish Kabobs with strawberries, pineapple, banana and apple ... squeeze a little lime over so that the banana and apple will stay nice looking.
Cut up 2 ounces of Camembert into tiny pieces it is amazing with the fruit. Don't take more than that with you or you will be eating way too much fat.

I love the tortilla rolled with lowfat turkey, and instead of mayo, use Lauging Cow lowfat cheese spread. The garlic flavor is yum. If you stick a little spinach in there before you roll them up your friends will see all that color and be jealous.0
