Fasted Strength Training and Sucralose Flavored BCAAs

I have 2 quick questions.
1. Anyone want to chime in on if fasted strength training is a good idea? I'm doing about 3 sets of 5 reps of deadlifts and bench presses, etc. Nothing super strenuous.
I do fasted HIIT twice a week, and I love it. I supplement with BCAA (unflavored) prior to, during and after my workout, which leads me to my second question.
2. Is using BCAA that has been flavored with sucralose a total waste of time? I thought I had read somewhere that sucralose can spike insulin and therefore just defeat the purpose of fasted HIIT. Should I stick with the unflavored? Thoughts?

I've never tried fasted strength training but I have done fasted HIIT. I personally can't do it. I can push way harder and get better results when I have something in my stomach. But if you feel good and are getting results, continue on.
As far as BCAA's with sucralose, I have been using Atomic 7 by Universal for the past year and have seen some really good results from it. I'm not sure if it actually does cause an insulin spike but I would think that if you are trying to put on muscle the insulin would help shuttle the bcaa's into you a bit faster. However, I recently started using MRM Reloaded + Glutamine BCAA's. Instead of sucralose they use Xylitol and Stevia which are more natural sweeteners. I wouldnt stress too much about it. As long as you are getting good results just keep doing what you are doing.0 -
Thanks; I'm fairly new to the strength training scene. I appreciate your input very much.
I do like the idea of a natural sweetener instead of sucralose.
I'll have to check that Reload stuff out...or better yet, just take it like a woman, and drink my BCAAs unflavored.
Still wondering about fasted strength training though. Hmm...0
